The North Carolina Division of Division of Air Quality has been granted funds by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to combat idlingNCoutline in the state.  The state has allocated $1.73 Million to reduce emissions from diesel engines and has set aside $517,500 to give out in the form of rebates on some new equipment. American Recovery and Reinvestment Funds Benefit Wisconsin

MADISON – Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Wisconsin will receive $2 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Funding to reduce diesel emissions and save fuel. The Wisconsin Department of Commerce (Commerce) will administer the funds. The recipients of these grants will use the funding to purchase diesel truck idling devices, which will help to reduce fuel consumption and air pollution from heavy-duty diesel truck-tractor engines.
