Unfortunately, there is no real way to say what unit is the best, it really depends on your situation. For instance, trucks with large custom sleepers typically need a unit with a dedicated generator for the high power demands of rooftop A/C, stoves, microwaves, etc. Since the Tripac only has an alternator/inverter, it would rate VERY low in that situation.

Reply to this comment and maybe I will have some better suggestions.

Thanks,

Hi guys,
I'm with RigMaster Power and after checking out your website found that you are in need of some new upto date information. As of Jan 20, 2009 the original RigMaster Power Corp. shut down and is no longer in business. As of April 1, 2009, Mobile Thermo Systems Inc., RigMaster Power's largest parts supplier, took over the product line from the bank and took over the name RigMaster Power and all it's logos and intellectual properties. We have made RigMaster Power a division of Mobile Thermos Systems Inc., and are using the RigMaster name as our trade name. Needless to say we now not only manufacture the majority of the components for the RigMaster APU in house but also assemble and market the unit in house making the unit the only APU on the market truly designed, engineered, fabricated, manufactured and assembled under one roof. The current model we produce is the MTS T4-6 model utilizing the same Perkins T4 engine and is built on the same platform that every RigMaster owner is familiar with. We have made many engineering improvements to address issues with the original 2008 RigMaster design and all components introduced into the new units are retro fit table to older RigMaster units. The unfortunate item that needs to be mentioned is that we only hold RigMaster Power in name and so all original build units no longer have their warranties as the original owners of RigMaster Power Corp. have walked away from the product and are not honoring those remaining warranties to our knowledge. All new units built by Mobile Thermo Systems come with a base 1 yr/2000 hour warranty and a powertrain warranty from Perkins or Cat of 2yrs/2000 hrs. Customers have the option to get the full 2yr/ 4000 hr warranty (excluding powertrain) on all units at the time of purchase. As for the dealer network, over 90% of RigMaster dealers have resigned with our company and will continue to sell and service RigMaster units. Dealers who have opted not to rejoin the network still have access to parts to help out customers and we are continuing to add new dealers to our network to grow even bigger. Our website, www.rigmasterpower.com has a new dealer locator utilizing Google maps and should definitely be checked out by everyone interested in a new unit or trying to find a service center.
